600g Diced Beef
2 Cans of Heinz Tomato Soup
2 Cans of Chopped Tomatoes
1 Large Onion Sliced
3 Crushed Garlic Cloves
3 Bay Leaves
2 Tablespoons of Cumin Powder
1 Tablespoon of Tandoori Powder
Vegetable oil for frying
Coat the beef with the cumin and tandoori powder and leave to marinate for 2 hours (or overnight if you have time to prepare in advance).
Heat some vegetable oil in a large pan and add the onion, garlic and beef and stir-fry gently for 5 minutes.
Add the soup, chopped tomatoes and bay leaves to the pan and cook for a further 2 minutes.
Cover and simmer either over a low heat on the hob or in the centre of a pre-heated oven (180oC/Fan 160oC/Gas 4) for 2 hours or until the meat is tender. Season to taste with salt and ground black pepper and serve with plain or pilau rice.
